It's Never Too Late to Rewrite the Script of Your Life

Peeling back the layer of an onion is an expression often used in psychotherapy as a metaphor for what takes place during the process of self-discovery. When discovered in this way, we can take the necessary time to allow the layers to slowly peel back in order to allow for the hidden parts to emerge. When we encounter and engage in the struggles of life, it’s like peeling an onion, layer by layer. Many people would love for the peeling to be over at once, but life doesn’t occur in such a way. Sometimes, layers are reoccurring themes. Each time a layer is peeled back, we learn something new, such as a particular story in our life. For those of you who are afraid of peeling back a layer or discouraged to pull back the same layer again, I encourage you to have courage! My hope is that in the discomfort of encountering “the onion” you will experience new personal growth and come closer to the heart of your beingness, your inner truth and space. 

Whether you are a parent to a young adult going through a life transition, a caretaker to a parent facing every facet of burnout or wishing to increase connection and depth in your relationship, I can help you navigate each next step on your journey. Perhaps you desire more internal peace, the ability to achieve your own goals or the freedom and flexibility to live the life you were meant to lead and unfold into the person you were meant to be. 

My specialties include anxiety, depression, life transitions, and women’s sexual/pelvic dysfunction. I aim to highlight your introspective intelligence, tap into your deeper self and explore your expectations, and hear you tell your own story. I offer practical communication skills to help your voice be heard in relationships, while deepening emotional connection through vulnerability and building self-love through attunement and regulation of the nervous system. 

Utilizing modalities that include Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused, Strength-Based, we will explore your authentic self by providing you the space to embrace your vulnerability, and consciously embrace your emotions. We will explore by examining and unpacking the many emotions, feelings, and intuition that are compasses leading you to a fulfilling life. As we bring loving awareness to many parts of you, internal peace, confidence, state of calmness, and love within yourself can be attained.
